Maternal Gut Bacteria Suppress Neurodegenerative Disorders in Affected Offspring

Project Summary:

We aim to identify human commensal bacteria that induce anti-inflammatory responses in pregnant mice. Treating mice with such bacteria may suppress the development of autism-like phenotypes in the affected offspring, exposed to maternal immune activation.
