Researchers
To develop the spectrum of therapies needed for patients with microbiome-associated disease, we need the best minds working together. CMIT connects interdisciplinary researchers across New England with the tools, resources, and collaborative network needed to overcome the field’s greatest challenges.
Each year we catalyze new discoveries and innovations in the microbiome space through our Innovation Award Program. RFA announcements are made for each funding cycle in September. You can find more information about our current funding cycle under Funding Opportunities.
Researchers at any career stage from any field or institution are welcome at the CMIT table. Faculty, postdocs, graduate students, and undergraduates from any lab are welcome to join us at our seminar, symposia and social events to meet members of our community and learn more about CMIT.
CMIT invests in foundational resources for the broader microbiome research community to increase access to tools and techniques in the field. To request use of our human gut microbe strain collections, see our page on the BIO-ML library. To learn more about data generation services available to the wider research community, please read more about the Microbial ‘Omics Core led by CMIT investigators at the Broad Institute.
