Postdoctoral Associate Computational biology

We are looking for a postdoctoral associate in Computational Biology to investigate the mechanisms of host-microbiome interactions in autoimmune disease (Cell 2016 November Volume 167, Issue 4, p1125–1136.e8, 3 November 2016, Sci Transl Med. 2016 Jun 15;8(343):343ra81, Cell. 2016 May 5;165(4):842-53. The candidate for this project will be responsible for computational method development and analysis. The ideal candidate should be broadly experienced with analyzing next generation sequencing data and will collaborate closely with other computational postdocs, for methods implementation, and with experimental team members, for validation of computational results. Prospective applicants should have made significant contributions to their area of study, as evidenced by a strong publication record.
Qualified candidates should have:
*A Ph.D. in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Biostatistics, or a related field
*Proficiency in one or more statistical or scripting languages appropriate for scalable data analysis
*Comfort and experience with programming for biological data analysis
*Familiarity with functional genetic and/or genomic data, as indicated by publication record
*Ability to communicate scientific material and collaborate well.
